Andrew and I had a sudden move to Virginia Beach and therefore I am way behind on putting pics up and I have so many to show off. I don't have to internet yet but here are a few pics Andrew and I took before we left Centreville Virginia.

Merrick's First 4th of July

Merrick is one week old and we enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July together with some friends at a park for a picnic. I can't believe Merrick is already 1 week old! He makes me smile and laugh every day with silly faces and noises. Some of my favorite Merrick Moments are:

• His little smiles he gives at the perfect moments.
• His giggle sounds.
  
• After he gets done eating he pulls away and does this stretch with his neck and makes the cutest little face.
• He has already learned how to pull out his binky and then put his hand over it to keep it in his mouth.
• Whenever he passes gas while he's sleeping he always startles himself and opens his eyes and then rolls them in the back of his head and falls back asleep.
• He already makes great eye contact and will stare at you for min. at a time. He will even follow you with his eyes.

Oh So Sweet

Merrick is 6 days old here and we put him in his first onesie and we went for his first walk. We are having so much fun with him. Merrick has made being a mom pretty easy. He caught on fast to breast feeding, he only cries when he's hungry or has some gas, he's pretty easy to calm down once he starts crying, and he's already started a good habit of sleeping for 4-5 hours through the night. Lets hope he keeps that up!! So far everything is going great!

WE HAVE A BABY!!!!!!!!

Merrick Andrew Brown was born on June 27, 2009 at 10:57 pm. He weighed in at 8.6 lbs and 20 in. long. He came a few days before his due date but he was a very obedient child and held out for Grandma Matthews to come and be there for his birth. I started having contractions 5 hrs after she arrived and he came almost exactly 24hrs after she stepped off the plane. I went into the hospital at 8:30 pm and 2 1/2 hrs later was holding my precious little boy. He is very healthy and we are enjoying EVERY moment with him. Yes, even the cries and poopy diapers :) Andrew and I couldn't be more happy to be parents and are so grateful for this special spirit that Heavenly Father has entrusted us with.

Dad is getting his first lesson on swaddling. He is already a pro!
