Relief Society Baby Shower at 37 Weeks

I guess I'm at the point now where this little guy could be coming anytime!!! I think he's pretty happy in there right now so I don't think he will be coming for atleast a couple more weeks. And he definitely needs to wait til after the 26th so my mom can get here. He hasn't been showing any signs like he wants to come out yet. Andrew and I have our next Dr.'s visit tomorrow morning where they will check to see if any progress has been made. Last week I wasn't dilated at all but I was 60% effaced, (Or so he says, I'm a little skeptical he can really tell that by the quick little check he did) and he had not dropped any. So we'll see tomorrow if anything has changed!




We have a wonderful ward out here in Centreville and the Relief Society loves to serve and help us moms and soon to be moms. So they through me a baby shower. They made delicious food and about 13-14 people came and a few of them I didn't even know their names. They were all so sweet and we had a great time and I got some more great stuff. They even filled in the gaps of some things I was still missing. Got to love baby showers and the Relief Society.

Cupcakes, Museums & Strawberries!

Throughout the summer we (The wives) like to get together and do recipe exchanges and make different foods and teach everyone else how to make them. On this particular Saturday we decided to each make a different type of cupcake and bring enough to share with everyone and we would trade cupcakes and then frost them together. So here are a few of our masterpieces. We didn't get too much accomplished with the frosting because it can be a little difficult with 5 children running around in a small space. But we had a few successful cupcakes and of course had a good time while making them and eating them!


The boys won an incentive and so we got to go tour the Natural History Museum in D.C. with our husbands one morning before work. My second time going and we still haven't seen the whole thing!



The wives and kids went to a farm where they had animals, a giant bubble thing to jump on, slides, tires to climb and all sorts of fun things for kids and of course a giant field of strawberries that you could go and pick fresh strawberries and take them home. Unfortunately I had no idea I had such bad allergies to all the pollen and things in the air and I was sniffing and sneezing and had burning eyes the whole time. I did not think I was going to make it. However I was able to pick enough strawberries to bring home and make some delicious strawberry jam. Probably wouldn't do it again, but it was a good one time experience. The kids all had a great time!
