Back to Laguna Beach

Andrew, Merrick and I recently took a trip to California o visit friends and to lift Andrew's new truck. We stayed with our friends Greg and Michelle who graciously let us stay with them for a week with a baby! We had fun going for walks, shopping, hanging on the beach, seeing our some of our good friends, Andrew surfed and went spear fishing and of course got the truck lifted and supped up.

I had so much fun dressing Merrick up as a Glow Worm and taking him trick or treating. Halloween will now be fun again!!

Fall in the Mountains

My sister-in-law, Alisha, invited us to her family's cabin up in Brian Head this past weekend. It was so beautiful up there. It was the perfect time to go with the changing of the seasons. The weather was perfect and we had such a great time riding 4-wheelers, shooting pellet guns and playing horse shoes, oh and of course eating lots of delicious food! It was absolutely gorgeous up there. Thanks AlishFaFall a and family.

Merrick's Baby Blessing

Merrick Andrew Brown was blessed on Sept. 13, 2009 by his father Andrew Brown in Sacrament meeting in the Santa Clara 9th Ward. Andrew gave a beautiful blessing despite Merrick screaming and crying the WHOLE time. I was so impressed Andrew was able to stay calm and still feel the spirit even with Merrick obviously very unhappy with the way he was being held. As the mom I tried to do everything in my power to make sure he would be happy during the blessing, unfortunately some things are just out of my control. All in all it was a beautiful and special day.

Back to St. George

We have moved back to St. George and are living with my parents again for a few months while Andrew goes down to Texas to sell for a few more weeks and then we'll be figuring out where life will be taking us next. We are trying to make some of the biggest decisions for our family. What career does Andrew want to do? Does he need to go back to school? Where do we want to raise our family? We have been asking ourselves these questions since we got married but it is finally coming to the time we need to make a decision and unfortunately we are still undecided...

Merrick has started to interact alot with us. He is smiling quite a bit and he tries to talk and have conversations with us. It is so fun. Here are some of the latest little smiles we've been able to capture.

It's not Summer without the Beach

We've been trying to take advantage of the beach while we're in Virginia Beach, its definitely not Hawaii but it will do for now. As you can tell Merrick is already turning into a beach bum just like his daddy.

He's almost 4 weeks in these pics so there not quite current.

I was so excited when I went to the Dr. on Friday and they told me he weighs 11 lbs!!! I was so worried I wasn't making enough milk for him, but apparently he is getting plenty.
