Zion's National Park Getaway

Andrew and I decided Monday night that we needed a short getaway trip before heading to Virginia and Andrew is put back to work full time. So we booked a hotel room for 2 nights up in Zion National Park. This trip was well needed, and we had an amazing time. We went for hikes, picnicked, had boat races in the river, went swimming, ate at nice restaurants and went to the I MAX movies. We loved relaxing in nature, enjoying the peace and the beautiful creations of God.

Andrew found this pretty blooming tree all by itself in the middle of a large field so we stopped to take some fun pictures.

On our way home we stopped by Andrew's mom's new home close to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. We raod 4-wheelers all around the beautiful desert and had fun visiting with Geri and seeing her new life.

My 20 week (5 month) baby bump!!!

I am now 21 weeks along. One week after my half way mark. The Pregnancy is going very well. Half the time I forget I'm really pregnant. It's becoming harder to forget now that i can look down and see my belly popping out. It's been fun to feel the baby moving around, and starting to feel those little kicks. We're very excited to be having a little boy around June 31st!!

Our 2008 Highlights

Andrew and I are very excited for this new year of 2009. We have many things to look forward to and many things we are both going to work on to make our lives a little better. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
For now we want to look back on some of our highlights of 2008 and remember many of the good times we had this year.

Andrew is really into Spear Fishing now and he got really good. Here are a few of his catches from this year!

Andrew had to leave in April to go sell Security systems in Florida while I stayed in Hawaii to finish up school. This is a picture of his last day working at Palm Terrace at Turtle Bay.
This is our most precious kitty Piko, who we had to leave behind in the move. Andrew is saying his goodbyes :(

I graduated in June from BYU-H and it was a wonderful occasion the whole family was able to make it out to Hawaii to celebrate. We had a wonderful time relaxing at the pool at Turtle Bay, snorkeling Sharks Cove and even sky diving. Andrew and I went for our 3rd time, Mom went for her 2nd, and everyone else went for their first!

Before we left left Florida Andrew and I wanted to make sure we got to see The Keys. So while we were waiting for our car to be shipped from Hawaii we drove down to Key West. Although the weather wasn't the greatest we were still able to do a catamaran snorkel trip that was absolutely amazing.
This is a nice reenactment of what Andrew and I looked like the first time we met!

We also had to spend a day at South Beach cruising the shops, eating good food, and watching all the crazy people.
We couldn't leave Florida with out enjoying a trip through the everglades on airboats. This was really cool, we saw lots of alligators, ostriches, and boars.

We spent about 2 months in Beaumont Texas. This was probably one of our more favorite places we lived this summer. This is a group picture of all the security boys we worked with this summer after.

We had the chance to enjoy the Best Monday Night Football Game of the season. Cowboys vs. Eagles with our good friends Jessica and Devin Peterson.
One of many BBQ's we had this summer with the Pinnacle crew. This was after our 3rd major move during the summer to Phoenix Arizona.

Andrew and I moved in with the family in Santa Clara Utah in October. Andrew managed to find a way to surf the Snow Canyon Sand Dunes. It's no Hawaii but it will do!

Andrew and I went to Colorado to support my cousin and her family as they went through the temple for the first time and got sealed together for time and all eternity.

Andrew and I went to California to visit some friends and family for a couple weeks in Nov. We spent a week in Laguna Beach and one week in Santa Barbara helping Andrew's mom move back with us to St. George. We had a wonderful time and always love visiting Andrew's roots in Laguna.
